How it works
One major triad per day, following the circle of fifths: C, G, D, A, E, B, Gb, Db, Ab, Eb, Bb, F. Each triad contains three notes. By Day 8 you’ve already covered all 12 notes on the fretboard — not by drilling them, but because the triads overlap and reinforce each other naturally.
The app shows you exactly where each triad sits across all six strings, gives you clear practice instructions for each day, and tracks which notes you’ve covered so far. By Day 12 you know the whole neck.
Why learning notes without memorising works better
The traditional approach — staring at a diagram and repeating note names until they stick — works for some people. For most it doesn’t. Notes learned through repetition fade quickly because there’s no musical context holding them in place.
This method embeds the notes in music from day one. You’re not memorising C at the 8th fret of the low E — you’re learning a C major triad and finding every C, E and G across the entire neck. The note locations stick because you learned them as part of something musical, not as an isolated fact.
